Fred not just heading south this summer. It's time for him to make his Maine debut up north at the Sanford International Film Festival. It's fantastic that The Dark Hunger is continuing to have premieres across the U.S. and we're thrilled to be an official selection.

No better way to start the week off than with a premiere. The Dark Hunger is making it's Panama debut at the Panama Horror Film Fest. It's always fantastic when Dead Fred has the chance to use his passport and we're thrilled to be a part of their inaugural festival.

The acceptance into Spook Screen is a special one for The Dark Hunger. It's fantastic Dead Fred will be heading back to Ireland to be a part of the inaugural festival.

However, it also mark the 100th official selection for the movie. Over the past year and a half The Dark Hunger has screened in 27 different states and 10 countries across 5 continents. The film has been seen in front of audiences both big and small, seeing parts of the world we could have never imagined. During that time every facet of the crew has been recognized by the awards and nominations the film has received.

We couldn't be more proud and humbled that so many people have embraced the darkness. Dead Fred isn't exactly a pleasant house guest, so we appreciate that so many people still welcomed him into their homes.

In less than two weeks The Dark Hunger will be making it's Kansas premiere. We're thrilled to be one of nineteen short films playing at the 14th Slash and Bash film festival. With over a decade under their belt, we couldn't be happier to be a part of a festival with so much history.

It's time for Dead Fred to head south where everything, including the scares, are bigger. We're flattered to be the film kicking off the first ever Texas Terrors Film Festival. It's a huge honor to be a part of the inaugural event and we're thrilled to be heading back down to Texas.

Dead Fred is returning to Ohio as part of the Red Phoenix International Film Festival. It's great to be a part of their third year lineup and we're looking forward to playing alongside many other great films.

The Dark Hunger is making its Kentucky premiere at the Hollywood South Film Festival. We've been blown away by their hospitality and generosity and are truly thrilled this festival is our first screening in KY.

Finally, Dead Fred is making his way back to Atlanta as part of Dragon Con. With such a long history of screening so many amazing films and putting together a truly fantastic event, we're humbled that we can be a part of the lineup.

2018 is kicking off with four new official selections. The Dark Hunger is returning to Illinois as well as fests on both coasts.

1) The first of the Illinois fests is the Indie Horror Film Fest - celebrating independent horror and bringing great short films and feature films together.

2) The second Illinois fest is the Hardcore Horror Fest. We couldn't be happier that The Dark Hunger is bloody and gory enough to be amongst some of the most intense horror films out there.

3) The Dark Hunger makes its way back to Pennsylvania as part of the Cabin Fever Film Festival. It's great to hear that when they're bunkered down in this cold weather they want to spend time with Dead Fred.

4) Finally, it's time to head back to Oregon for Oregon Scream Week. They've got a remarkable lineup put together with over 50 films selected. We couldn't be happier to be a part of all the awesome films being screened.

With winter almost here, Dead Fred is off to get some sun. The Dark Hunger is returning to Arizona as an official selection for the Chandler International Film Festival. Host to Arizona's only film market, we're thrilled to be included as part of the line up.

We're thrilled to announce The Dark Hunger will be playing at Obscura Film Festival Hanover. Earlier this year at their Berlin edition they screened Producer Dorian Weinzimmer and Production Designer Brant McCrea's Chicago Rot, so we're thrilled to keep up Chicago's presence in Germany.

The Dark Hunger has four new festival selections and three of them are premieres both home and abroad.

1) We're incredibly thrilled that The Dark Hunger is making its South America premiere at Cinematico. Playing in a restored theater, this is the greatest way to make our premiere on that continent.

2) The Dark Hunger is making its New Jersey premiere at the Lost Sanity Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival. They have a remarkable lineup of films and we're thrilled to be included among them.

3) The Dark Hunger has it's second 2018 screening lined up and will be making its way to Wisconsin for the Green Bay Film Festival. We're incredibly excited to be a part of a festival known for curating such a great lineup. Wisconsin is close to Dead Fred's home of Chicago so we're thrilled to be returning.

4) Once again Dead Fred is returning to Canada for the Creation International Film Festival. We're humbled to listed among many other fantastic films selected.

Dead Fred is making his way both near and abroad with two more festival acceptances.

1) It's time to head back to North Carolina. We couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of the Big Fandom Film Festival. It's the only kind of place where you'll see Cthulhu, Godzilla and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man all together battling it out. And it makes us just giddy knowing Dead Fred will be underfoot causing his own chaos as well.

2) We're heading overseas as part of the Genre Celebration Festival. We're thrilled and excited to be part of a festival that's bringing all kinds of genres into the spotlight. From comedy to horror to sci-fi we know it's going to be a great time.

Dead Fred not only returns home, but he's also making a premiere.

1) We're thrilled and happy to announce that The Dark Hunger has been accepted into the Embarras Valley Film Festival. The festival celebrates films made in Illinois and it's quite humbling to be among the many talented filmmakers from this state that were accepted.

2) The Dark Hunger is making its Wisconsin Premiere at the American Horrors Film Festival. They are throwing an amazing Halloween Bash and even broadcasting the festivities on their Roku channel. It's a fantastic fest that is both local and national at the same time, doing amazing things to promote horror. We couldn't be more excited to be a part of the fantastic and terrific lineup.

A whole slew of updates for the Dark Hunger from nominations for awards, official selections and premieres.

1) The Dark Hunger is making its Texas premiere at the Austin Indie Fest. It's fantastic to be playing in such a fun city with so much support for the arts. We're incredibly excited to be a part of their inaugural year.

2) Dead Fred is getting quite a bit of use out of his passport this year. He's heading up to Canada once again to be a part of Fake Flesh Film Festival. With four days of horror, grue and fun it's going to be an absolute blast.

3) The Dark Hunger was nominated for Best Horror Short at the Cutting Edge Film Festival. This fest is truly international and trailblazing, so we're thrilled and humbled for the nod.

4) The Dark Hunger was nominated for Best Weird / Atmospheric Short Film at the Wasteland Film Festival. For a festival held in an apocalyptic landscape in a world with no rules, we're glad Dead Fred was able to stand out.

Dead Fred is making his way back to two states that have always played a gracious host to his hungry presence.

1) We're thrilled for The Dark Hunger to be a part of Cutting Edge Film Festival based out of Florida. This is a cool and innovative fest that is exploring and paving the way for new ways to experience and films and celebrate filmmaking from around the world.

2) Dead Fred returns down south to Louisiana for the Hammond Horror Festival where they're celebrating horror films as well as filmmaking itself with their 48-Hour Horror Film challenge. 1) Dead Fred will be making his Louisiana premiere at the Pop Ninja Horror Film Festival. We're excited to be involved in anything that involves horror and ninjas.

2) The Dark Hunger returns to Canada to be a part of the Terror in the Bay Horror Film Festival. We three days lined up horror films we're happy to be a part of the celebration.

3) The Dark Hunger is also heading back to Germany and making its Berlin premiere at the Berlin Zombie Film Festival. We're excited to be a part of a celebration that is all things zombie.

The Dark Hunger took home best sound design and it's great that all the talented people who made it sound great and gory. Michael DeAngelis and the crew at Earhole have been nominated for Best Sound. It's a well-deserved nod and we couldn't be happier for them.

Rebekah Lieto and Crystal Portillo of Cirque FX have got themselves another nomination for their brilliant work bringing the blood, guts and Dead Fred to life. They absolutely killed it in this film and the praise from all over the world is a testament to the talent of these two badasses responsible for it.

Lots of news on the festival front:

1) The Dark Hunger has been accepted into Nightmares Film Festival. As one of the top horror fests in the nation, this is quite humbling and exciting. There couldn't be a better place to make our Ohio premiere. #BetterHorror

2) Speaking of premieres, The Dark Hunger will be making it's Pennsylvania premiere at the Great Lakes International Film Festival. Only a handful of films were selected for their horror block and we're proud to be one of them, representing films made in the Great Lakes area.

3) The Dark Hunger makes its New York premiere at the Upstate New York Horror Film Festival. They've put together a fantastic lineup we're thrilled to be included on. Run by the same organizers as the Hollywood Dead Film Festival, this promises to be a great one.

4) As far as unique film fests go, the Dead Witch Film Fest is one of the most interesting. It takes scares to the next level by combining interactive horror attractions and horror films. We are excited to be a part of this innovative and visionary experience.

5) Finally, The Dark Hunger is going to be screened in one of the best movie going experiences possible - at a drive in. We've been selected to play at the Hudson Valley Drive-INternational Festival. It's flattering to be included as part of a screening showing films the most iconic way possible.

It's time for Dead Fred to make his way back to Iowa. The Dark Hunger has been accepted into Halloweenapalooza and we're excited to be playing at the same event that's celebrating Children of the Corn with actors from the film in attendance. It seems like Dead Fred is going to feel right at home.

The Dark Hunger is making another premiere. It has been accepted into the Puerto Rico Horror Film Festival and we couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of it.

The Dark Hunger has been accepted into three more festivals and will be making premieres in two states.

1) We're incredibly excited to be a part of SF Indie's Another Hole in the Head. This festival celebrates all kinds of genre films, feature and short, over a two week span. Taking place right in the heart of San Francisco, it's an incredible honor to be a part of the festival.

2) The Dark Hunger will be making its Idaho premiere at the Idaho Horror Film Festival. Known for picking incredibly solid lineups of both established films in the circuit and discovering new ones, IHFF is looking to go into its fourth year incredibly strong. We couldn't be more humbled to be selected.

3) The final festival is Sick Chick Flicks Film Festival and also The Dark Hunger's North Carolina premiere. This acceptance especially puts the spotlight on Sarah Giroux for her remarkable work as a crew head, performing the seemingly impossible task of Director of Photography and Producer. Her role in the film was absolutely integral and this festival is celebrating her work, along with other films with female crew leads. On top of that Rebekah Lieto and Crystal Portillo we solely responsible for the blood effects and they've absolutely knocked it out of the park. It's fantastic to be a part of a festival that gives all three the credit they deserve for their fantastic work.

Dead Fred is heading towards two places that have already been quite hospitable to him (and the mayhem that follows).

The first new fest The Dark Hunger will be playing at is the Flint Fright Film Fest. They've got a fantastic block of films put together and we're thrilled to be playing in Michigan for a third time.

The Dark Hunger will also been returning to Canada but making its Alberta premiere at the Edmonton Festival of Fear International Film Festival. This is its inaugural year and already has a great lineup in place with really fantastic plans for years to come.

The Dark Hunger was also nominated for Best Horror / Thriller Short by the Reno Tahoe International Film Festival. With a lineup packed with so much talent it's quite the compliment to receive justto be nominated.

There were also two nominations that came along with the acceptance into Edmonton Festival of Fear International Film Festival. First, congrats to the cast and crew for the nomination as Best Short. Secondly, a huge shout out to John Crosthwaite for his nomination for Best Actor.

Great news on the festival front!

Dead Fred is returning to Nevada to be a part of the Reno Tahoe International Film Festival. With a great deal of submissions and a selective midnight screening we're incredibly to be accepted and part of the festival.

Dead Fred is also going full on Mad Max as he heads to the Wasteland Film Festival in California. It's an incredibly cool event that is one part Burning Man and one part full on fiery apocalypse. It's a good fit for the Dark Hunger.

Lastly, The Dark Hunger is also making his way to the Mediterranean to make his Cyprus premiere at the Cyprus Comic Con. We're not sure if Dead Fred is a hero, villain or anti-hero but we couldn't be more honored to be a part of their celebration of all things superhero.

We're absolutely thrilled to be an official selection of 2017 NecronomiCon Providence which is celebrating all things created by the master himself. We couldn't be happier to have a place among so much work that is influenced by such a powerhouse of a creative.

The Dark Hunger has been accepted into two film festivals. The first is Frostbite International Online Film Festival based out of Colorado.

The second is Gig Harbor Film Festival based in Gig Harbor Washington. We couldn't be more thrilled to return to Washington and be part of a four day celebration of film. We're sure Dead Fred will fit right in during a midnight screening just days before Halloween.

Two pieces of good news! The first is The Dark Hunger will be making its Georgia premiere at the Horror Films in Hotlanta festival which is celebrating its inaugural year.

The awards are in for the Independent Horror Movie Awards and we're proud to have won Best Writing, Best Gore and Best Cinematography as well as nominations for Best Short, Actor and Special Effects.

Looks like The Dark Hunger is making a trip across the pond! The UK Premiere is this month at the London Monthly Film Festival. What a cool honor and we're excited for the film to have found a home internationally.

Update 01:
The premiere came and it was a bloody, crazy success! The film was screened, Malort was consumed and the movie looked and sounded as gross as it could ever hope. The room was even packed, so that made it even better
